For the past month I have continued working with the 5-month Disciplship Training School program in YWAM Jamaica. We have gotten the opportunity to do local outreach and street evangelism beside our class-training schedule. On our local outreach one highlight was working at a school for the deaf. We painted, sew covers on mattresses and refurbish old furniture’s and do lots of street evangelism. God used us to bring comfort to an old woman whose kids are all grown up and living on their own. Also he led us to pray for Kim we believe to be under the influence of demons and suffering from post martial syndromes when she gave birth to her child. She is only 20 years old.
We also serve our community by working with a program call the hopes of home for the homeless. We help lay the foundations for a family. Currently we’ve just finish up the classroom phase. Our last speaker this week taught on spiritual warfare, how to become aware of the spiritual activities taking place in a nation which will enable us to do more effect prayer on behalf of that nation.
Our Outreach continues in two states in Jamaica and then our two teams will leave to Guyana and Trinidad. A team of seven including myself leaves to Guyana on May 02, 2009. I am doing some fundraising towards this trip. I am still in need of $430 for my flight and $1000 for food and housing. Please pray with me as I continue to raise funds.
